Commercial Van & Truck Upfitting Serving Howell, MI

US Workvan builds out commercial vans and work trucks for Howell-area contractors, fleet operators, and businesses from our shop in Lansing, a straight 40-minute run east on I-96. We stock the products, we do the installs in-house, and we know what it takes to keep work vehicles productive in one of Michigan’s fastest-growing counties. If you’re running vans or trucks anywhere in the Howell market, we can build them to do the job.

Built for Livingston County’s Growth

Livingston County is one of the fastest-growing and highest-income counties in the state, and that growth shows up as constant work for the trades: new subdivisions, commercial buildouts, and the service businesses that follow rooftops. Howell sits at the center of it as the county seat.

For a contractor riding that wave, downtime is the enemy, and a van you have to dig through costs you jobs when there’s more work than hours in the day. We build setups that keep crews moving from the first stop to the last, so the growth works for you instead of running you ragged.

Upfitting for Howell’s Trades & Contractors

Livingston County keeps electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, framers, and remodelers busy year-round on residential and commercial work from Howell out to Brighton and Fowlerville. We build out van interiors and truck beds to match the trade. We install van interior storage systems from Adrian Steel, Ranger Design, Sortimo, and Weather Guard — shelving, drawer units, bin organizers, partitions, and pipe and PVC storage that keep parts sorted and within reach.

For truck operators, we install DECKED bed drawer systems, truck toolboxes and ladder racks from Weather Guard, Buyers Products, and Holman, and BackRack cab protectors, plus truck caps and tonneau covers from LEER, Century, and Extang for loads that have to stay dry and locked.

Hauling ladders, conduit, or lumber between job sites off Grand River or across the county? We fit van ladder racks from Kargo Master and Prime Design. Everything goes on to manufacturer spec.

Fleet Upfitting at the I-96 & US-23 Crossroads

Livingston County’s position where I-96, US-23, and M-59 meet has made it a natural base for distribution, service, and commuter-driven businesses with highways reaching Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Flint. Freight and service fleets run out of the county, automotive manufacturers like Thai Summit and Tribar keep facilities and maintenance vehicles working, and as the Livingston County seat, Howell adds municipal and county fleets along with St. Joseph Mercy Livingston and the area’s healthcare operations. Every one of them depends on vehicles equipped the same way every time.

We work directly with fleet managers and procurement teams to build each unit to one shared specification, so a driver moving between vehicles never has to relearn the layout. We install cargo ramps and safety steps where daily loading and unloading is the whole job. Every driver knows where everything is from day one.

Every Kind of Work Vehicle Howell Runs

Livingston County crews cover plenty of roads. Most of the vehicles we see from this area are trade vans and pickups, so we upfit Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo vans, compact cargo vans, and Ford F-Series, Ram 2500 and 3500, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. Box trucks and specialty vehicles get a custom layout too.

Beverage and goods distribution is part of the local economy, which makes Tommy Gate van lift gates and truck lift gates a smart add for any route with constant loading. We also install tank racks for HVAC and utility rigs, plus van and truck accessories such as LED light bars, strobe lights, backup cameras, and power inverters.

Why Howell Operators Come to US Workvan

We’re a Certified Adrian Steel Installer and a 2026 Legend Upfit of the Year Finalist, with over 35 years of combined experience on the team. Howell is barely 40 minutes west on I-96, close enough that a fully upfitted van or a whole fleet is an easy morning’s drive. The payoff is a vehicle built right the first time, whether it’s a single service van or a fleet you need matched to one spec and scaled as you grow.
